Ο Μυριβήλης, γνωστός κυρίως για τα σπουδαία αντιπολεμικά του έργα, επιστρατεύει εδώ το χιούμορ, τη σάτιρα και τη λαϊκή αφήγηση για να δημιουργήσει μια απολαυστική κωμωδία γεμάτη ανατροπές.

Festival at the Park 2026 welcomes one of the most beloved and widely acclaimed theatrical productions of recent years. On Monday, July 13, 2026, at the Ai-Yiannis Detis Park Theatre, The Tricksters, based on the comic short story by Stratis Myrivilis, will be presented by the PTOCHALAZONES Theatre Company, directed by Kostas Papakonstantinou.
The story transports audiences to Ottoman-era Lesvos, where two legendary tricksters, Pseftothodoros and Kalpomanolis, compete for the title of the cleverest rogue in the land. When their paths finally cross, they become entangled in a hilarious contest of deception in which no one can be certain who will emerge victorious. Pirates, hidden treasures, vampires, demons and a series of unexpected twists create a theatrical adventure reminiscent of traditional folk tales and the comic world of Karagiozis shadow theatre.
